Heart Punch Stampin Up! Card

Happy Heart Stampin Up Birthday Card

Well Day One here of my new Blog endeavor. As I am waiting for my awesome Christmas Supplies from Stampin Up to arrive I thought I would whip up a Birthday Card from some old/expired Stampin Up Sets.

  1. Cut all your base papers (for this we are using Basic Black & Whisper White). The Base is Whisper White cut at 5.5x8" and folded in half using the Bone Folder. The 2 layering pieces are Basic Black cut at 3.5x5" and Whisper White at 3 1/4 x 4 3/4.
  2. Then I used Versamark to stamp the barely visible white effect on the Whisper White paper. This is with an expired set called One Of A Kind, however there is the Language of Friendship set that has almost identical flowers and works also with the Boho Blossoms Punch, which we will get to!
  3. My Heart Papers are Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Island Indigo. Punch these out with the Heart Punch and run em through the Big Shot with any embossing folders you like to add depth and texture. At the same time I ran my Stamped White 3 1/4x 4 3/4 piece through with the Edgelit for that Daisy effect.
  4. Grab your inks you will be using, mine is coordinating to my papers so Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Island Indigo. Using a sponge distress your edges to add depth. I find this is easiest by 'wiping' the inky sponge onto the sides of the heart into a scrap paper below.
  5. With your Inks open and out now Stamp your Flowers. Punch em out with that Boho Blossoms Punch. I played around and decided to use one flower from all 3 in the stamp on each Heart. I also decided to add some leaves which are punched from the Bird Builder Punch with Old Olive Paper.
  6. Now to make your life easier attach your flowers, leaves, anything to the hearts PRIOR to using Foam Dots/Dimensionals under your Hearts! ALSO Stamp your wording on prior to adding any dimension! My "For You" is from the same Stamp Kit, One Of A Kind.
  7. Now using your tape roller you are ready to attach all the pieces! Start with your black base, then white, then Hearts! Voila!
